Let’s assume that since you made it this far you have some interest in crafts, maybe even in the history of crafts. Where did knitting come from? Who came up with the idea of sewing two pieces of fabric together? And why are people still interested in crafts in a day and age where we can get machines to do most things for us? These are all interesting questions that Historic Crafts would like to help you find an answer to. However, to begin with we would like to hear about your history with crafts. Whether you learnt it from a family member at the age of 6 or you taught yourself from a good book at the age of 60, we are interested!

I started crocheting when I was young, dropped it for a long time and recently picked it up again after seeing a friend of mine crocheting these really cute little monkeys. I bought a few books recently but haven’t got around to making anything yet.
