I’m back and we’re moving!

So I’m kinda back from my blogging holiday now and something exciting had happened. I have taken the decision to move the  Historic Crafts blog to a new blogger platform. It can now be found at the following URL: http://historic-crafts.blogspot.com/

So why have I done this? Well I have been wanting to make some changes around Historic Crafts for a while. I haven’t been very happy working on the blog all on my own so I am hoping that this move makes it easier to involve other in the future. But even if it doesn’t the move still provides a more lightweight blog where I can add stories (my own and others) when I want. The first post I have published over on the new blog is a guest post from Ane with a nalbinding tutorial, which I am sure many of you have been looking forward to. I know I have.

Over the next 6 months this version of Historic Crafts will still be around so that you can keep reading the old posts and tutorials here. I will gradually move the most popular posts over to the new blog so that when this one closes down you can find it all over there.

If you are receiving the Historic Crafts newsletter or in other ways following the blog I want to encourage you to go over and follow the new blog too. There will be no new newsletter but there is the option of subscribing to the RSS feed, follow by email or follow with Google friend connect (all at the top of the right sidebar). You can also continue to follow by becoming a member of the Facebook group or on Twitter.

On the other hand, if you are more interested in what I am doing of crafty stuff this will move more and more over to the roued.com domain, where some changes will happen too!

As a last thing I just want to mention what I have been doing in my holiday. I spent some time dyeing with natural dyes with Cecile. If you are interested in this sort of thing she is writing up some fantastic posts on Ways of the Whorl about it. You should definitely check it out!

Take care and see you on the new blog,

Eddie
